Ecuadorian Black Copal

This is a traditional Mayan black copal (Protium Amazonico) resin incense sourced from Ecuador, directly from the locals. Used for cleansing whatever space you burn it in. This black copal is a unique strain of copal and more rare than more commonly sold white and golden strains. It has a strong woodsy and pine scent.

It's been used for thousands of years in ancient Mayan, Aztec, and Incan ceremonies for purifying purposes.

It is the purest form of incense possible. It's dried tree sap sourced from already fallen down trees in Ecuador. Incense cones and sticks typically have additives to bind the finely ground tree resin in a solid form but our incense contains no added ingredients.

Made to use in an incense burner* as shown in picture 5.

Here are a few simple instructions on how to burn resin incense:

1. Grind resin into a fine powder with a mortar and pestle*.
2. Sprinkle powder on top of a hot coal* inside the burner.
3. Enjoy!

Warning: Burner and coal will be very hot. Do not place on or near any flammable objects. Not made for ingestion.
